Substance Use Disorder Treatment & Therapy
Siouxland Community Health Center provides services for the treatment of opioid addiction. We have medical providers that are certified in delivery of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), which is a “whole patient” approach that is aimed at full recovery, including improving patient survival and retention in treatment. Medication-Assisted Therapy uses medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat substance misuse disorders. Medications used are FDA approved and tailored to meet each patient’s needs.
How does MAT work?
Patients begin treatment with a full health assessment with their medical provider. Your provider will work with behavioral health or substance use professionals to diagnose substance misuse or co-occurring disorder. You will receive education about how MAT works, the associated risk and benefits of treatments and overdose prevention strategies.
During the treatment process, your provider will closely monitor you to meet your medical, behavioral health, and social needs. Your treatment is an individualized comprehensive treatment program.
If you are interested in MAT, please speak with your medical provider. For more information, please visit:
