The Annual Dinner event is postponed!
Originally planned for Saturday, March 28, 2020, the Siouxland Community Health Foundation 10th annual fundraiser dinner and auction event has been postponed. The new date has not been determined.
This annual event is also a time in which the health center recognizes a community member for their service, citizenship, and collaboration with SCHC for helping those most underserved. This year, with his family present, the health center will honor the late Frank LaMere. Frank was well known within the community and nationwide for his activism for Native Americans. Frank was a member of the SCHC Board of Directors from 2014 until the time of his passing.
In its decade-long history, the fundraising event has raised funds crucial to supporting patient needs at Siouxland Community Health Center (SCHC). At SCHC, patient care goes beyond a medical or dental visit. The health center has various patient assistance programs such as a clothing closet; pharmacy fund to assist with costs of prescription medications; transportation assistance; and an infant safe sleep initiative for new mothers. These needs have only grown since the first year of the event as SCHC currently serves over 29,000 patients annually, which is a 42% increase since the first year the event was held.
Previously known as “A Night on the Town,” the event featured a city theme that offered fun and fellowship in an elegant setting. This year, the event will pivot into a more casual atmosphere and will boast a “March Madness” theme with game viewing, food and beverage, and various sports memorabilia and other items to be auctioned.
Your contribution is appreciated and makes a difference in building a healthier community. Thank you for your consideration and support of the Siouxland Community Health Foundation.
