Behavioral Health & Social Services
Patients are referred to Behavior Health services by their medical provider to assist with mental health, emotional, or social needs. Behavioral health team members include: Psychiatric Medication Managers, Psychotherapists, and Case Managers. The behavioral health team can assess needs, provide education and information, deliver care, offer support, and make referrals.
Available Services Include:
- Psychiatric Diagnosis and Evaluation
- Psychiatric Medication Management
- Psychotherapy
- Counseling
- Health and Wellness Education
- Assessment and Case Management of Community Resource Needs
Through the Health and Law Project, Siouxland Community Health Center partners with Iowa Legal Aid to offer assistance with issues such as disability, discrimination, housing, domestic violence, financial concerns, divorce, custody issues and unemployment concerns. SCHC is offering walk-in hours for new behavioral health intake appointments. Our walk-in clinic hours are designed to link you to the appropriate services. You will receive a comprehensive evaluation with one of our highly trained and qualified therapists to determine the best way we can serve you.
Walk-in slots for new patients are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are granted a slot, please plan to be here for at least 2-3 hours for paperwork and the evaluation.
Walk-in Hours for New Patients Only:
Mondays: 2:00pm – 7:00pm (paperwork starting at 1:30pm)
Wednesdays: 8:30am – 11:30am (paperwork starting at 8:00am)
Thursdays: 1:30pm – 4:30pm (paperwork starting at 1:00pm)
