Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)

Siouxland Community Health Center provides services for the treatment of opioid disorders. We have medical providers that are certified in delivery of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), which is a “whole patient” approach including improving patient recovery and retention in treatment. We also offer mental health therapy and peer recovery specialists to support patients in all aspects of their recovery.

How does MOUD work?

Patients begin treatment with a full health assessment with their medical provider. Your provider may work with behavioral health or other health professionals. You will receive education about how MOUD works, the associated risk and benefits of treatments and overdose prevention strategies.

During the treatment process, your provider will closely monitor you to meet your medical, mental health, and social needs. Your treatment is an individualized, comprehensive treatment program.

MOUD services are integrated into SCHC’s primary care services and are provided as part of patients’ comprehensive medical care. SCHC does not operate a separately licensed substance use disorder treatment program and is not a federally certified Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).
